1. Drinking more water and herbal teas [2 litres a day] to keep the brain hydrated.
Your brain cells need water to help them communicate with each other and to clear out toxins & waste that can stop them functioning. [Coffee and alcohol don’t count]!
2. Eating more foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3s help build brain and nerve cells, which will help improve your memory.
Switch your cheese sandwich for a fresh salmon salad.
3. Getting 7-8 hours’ sleep a night. Lack of sleep leads to lower levels of alertness and concentration.
Go to bed and wake up at the same time to reset your circadian rhythms [body clock].
With these 3 simple changes I started feeling sharper and more focused at work.
