I’m Helen and I help professional menopausal women to stop career and life disrupting symptoms and start feeling normal again.

When menopause struck me 7 years ago, I recognised the hot flushes, but not the associated brain fog, acute anxiety and disrupted sleep, which overnight left me feeling unable to perform in my senior marketing career and ultimately contributed to me losing that job.

It did however give me the opportunity to retrain in nutrition and now I understand what we can do naturally with diet and lifestyle to get our lives back on track, I’m passionate about sharing that knowledge with you.

What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional Therapy is relevant for anyone committed to improving their health and wellbeing through nutrition and lifestyle changes.

I specialise in helping professional women looking for relief from menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, brain fog, weight gain, disrupted sleep, anxiety, depression and lack of energy.

I also work with men and women diagnosed with chronic conditions such as diabetes, obesity, heart disease and IBS-type digestive complaints.

My nutrition and lifestyle programmes are designed to empower you to improve your health and well-being naturally so that you can take back control of your life.

My advice is completely personalised to you, based on your unique health history and individual set of symptoms. We work together to create a tailor-made plan of realistic food and lifestyle changes designed to address your specific health goals, progressing at a pace to suit you. Although I favour a food-first approach, I sometimes recommend supplements and private functional tests.

Nutritional Therapy is not a replacement for medical advice and I frequently work alongside medical professionals to support your wellbeing.

If you don’t have any specific symptoms or underlying health conditions and would like a dietary review to ensure you’re eating as healthily as possible, I offer a one-off 60-minute nutrition review and analysis based on a 3-day food diary. My recommendations discussed with you first, will be emailed to you after the session.

Taking supplements with prescription medication can be harmful without checking for any potential interactions and many of us waste money on buying dietary supplements we hope will magically fix our menopause symptoms. Whilst there is no substitute for good nutrition, this one-off, 60-minute review will take the guesswork out of your supplements and ensure they’re safe to take.
