Regularly waking at 3am and just can’t get back to sleep?

I regularly used to wake up at 3am and lie awake for hours worrying about what the lack of sleep was doing to my health me and then fall asleep just be-fore my alarm went off at 7am.

It was not only exhausting but made me feel like I didn’t know whether I was coming or going for the rest of day

There are so many helpful things you can do to ensure a good night's sleep, here are 3 simple techniques I've found useful that help me to sleep like a baby every night:

🧘🏻 Create a wind-down bedtime routine such as having a hot bath helps you relax before bed and counter-intuitively drops your core body temperature signaling it’s time to sleep.

📱 Stop looking at screens, phones and laptops for at least 1 hour and prefer-ably 2-3 before bed-time. The blue light blocks the build-up of the sleep hormone melatonin you need to get to sleep and stay asleep.

🙏🏻 As you close your eyes and get ready to sleep, think of 3 positive things that you’re grateful for that day. It helps you switch off any anxiety that could keep you awake. Even if it’s been a bad day it could be as simple as a hot bath; warm, comfy bed, and yummy dinner.
