For me this was the most distressing symptom of menopause that seemed to strike out of the blue. âš¡
At first I didn’t even realise it was menopause related and couldn’t work out what was happening!
I suddenly found myself unable to think clearly and function like I used to and even simple tasks seemed beyond me in my senior corporate marketing role.
I felt like I was really messing up and making a fool of myself.
I took myself off to the doctors, only to be offered antidepressants, which seemed crazy as I knew I wasn’t depressed….. but had no idea what else to do.
However, after changing my diet including more green leafy veg, phyto-oestrogens such as flaxseeds, edamame beans and chickpeas, prioritising my sleep ensuring I and getting 7-8 hours a night, plus minimising stress levels through daily meditation and weekly yoga sessions, I started to feel less foggy and think clearer.
