The Brain Health Blueprint

Your personalised plan to protect your brain, now and for the decades ahead.

Healthy ageing doesn't start at 70. It's built decades earlier, through the choices you make in your 40s, 50s and 60s. Your brain changes throughout your life. The good news is that many factors associated with cognitive health are modifiable.

The Brain Health Blueprint is a 12-week 1:1 nutrition and lifestyle programme for women who want a proactive, personalised approach to brain health, and to the bones, muscles and metabolic health that go with it.

Does this sound familiar?

  • You want to stay mentally sharp, strong and independent for as long as possible.
  • You've noticed brain fog, poor concentration or memory slips and want to understand what you can influence.
  • Dementia runs in your family, or you've seen what it does and want to be proactive.
  • You've been told you have raised cholesterol, blood pressure or blood sugar, and want to know what nutrition and lifestyle can do alongside your medical care.
  • You're overwhelmed by conflicting advice about "brain foods" and supplements.
  • You want a clear, personalised plan rather than another generic lists of things to do.

If you have significant or worrying changes in memory or thinking, please do speak to your GP.

What does the research say?

Genetics and age play a part, and there are no guarantees. But the research is encouraging. The Lancet Commission estimates that up to 45% of dementia cases could potentially be prevented or delayed by addressing 14 modifiable risk factors, including physical inactivity, high blood pressure, high LDL cholesterol, diabetes, hearing loss and social isolation.

The charity Food for the Brain adds that less than 1% of Alzheimer's is caused directly by genes, and that nutrition and lifestyle play a major role. A lot of the picture is in your hands. The challenge is working out which parts matter most for you. That's what your Blueprint is for.

Why a Blueprint?

Brain health isn't about one superfood, one supplement or one test. It's about many factors working together, and the right mix is different for every woman. So we start by building your personal blueprint: a clear picture of your health, your family history, your risk factors and your priorities. Then we put it into practice, step by step, over 12 weeks.

What we'll focus on

Brain health. A diverse, fibre-rich, plant-rich diet, healthy fats, blood sugar balance, sleep and stress. There's no magic "brain food", but there are foundations worth getting right.

Bone and muscle health. Your brain, bones and muscles are connected. We'll look at protein, key nutrients and practical guidance on strength training, so you stay strong, mobile and independent.

Metabolic and heart health. Blood sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure. What's good for your heart is good for your brain.

The foundations. Gut health, movement, connection, and how your body responds to hormonal change.

The Blueprint draws on the Lancet Commission's risk factors and the 8 Domains of brain health from Food for the Brain.

Over 12 weeks, we'll explore how your nutrition, blood sugar regulation, cardiovascular and metabolic health, sleep, stress, physical activity and other lifestyle factors may be influencing your brain health. Together, we'll develop a personalised, practical plan to support cognitive function and healthy ageing.

Your Blueprint programme and plan is always personalised. You won't be handed a generic checklist.

FAQs

How do I know this programme is right for me?

The best place to start is with a free 30-minute exploratory call. We'll discuss what your priorities and concerns are and whether the programme provides the right level of support for your needs. There's no obligation to book.

How is this programme different from The Menopause Method?

The Menopause Method is for women whose main concern is menopause symptoms such as sleep disruption, brain fog, low energy, mood and hot flushes. The Brain Health Blueprint is for women whose priority is the long-term health of their brain, bones, muscles and metabolism,

whether or not they have menopause symptoms. Many women could benefit from either, and we can talk through which suits you best on your free call..

What is the cost of this program?

The Brain Health Blueprint is £1,200.

Payment can be made as a single payment or in 3 monthly instalments of £400.

Can this prevent dementia?
  • No programme can guarantee that. What nutrition and lifestyle can do is address modifiable risk factors and support your health as you age.
I'm worried about my memory. Can you help?

Please speak to your GP if you're worried about your memory, as changes could have many possible causes. I'm happy to work alongside your GP or specialist, providing complementary nutrition and lifestyle support. It doesn't replace medical advice or treatment.

Are tests and supplements included?

Test costs are not included, but interpreting your results is, including any test results you may already have from your GP. I take a food-first approach, and any supplements would be recommended only where appropriate and purchased separately.

What if I need to reschedule or stop part-way?

To ensure you get the most out of the programme, it is designed to be completed within the designated timescale. If for any reason this becomes impossible due to life circumstances then sessions can be rescheduled with prior agreement. More detailed information about payment and cancellation terms are provided in the RitchNutrition Terms of Engagement Agreement.
